About the website

Missed Bin Collection UK is an independent project. It provides general information, postcode-based council identification and links to official third-party services.

It is not operated by a council, government department or waste contractor. It cannot submit, receive, manage or chase a council report.

Permitted use

You may use the website lawfully for personal reference or organisational research relating to UK council waste services. You may print or save reasonable extracts for personal reference if source notices are not removed.

You must not:

  • use the website or finder for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity;
  • interfere with its security, availability, code or connected services;
  • send excessive automated requests or scrape it in a way that degrades the service;
  • misrepresent this website as an official council or government service;
  • republish substantial original content as your own competing directory; or
  • use information from the website to make false reports or harass council staff or contractors.

No account, payment or reporting relationship

The website does not provide public user accounts, take payments or act as a visitor's representative. Following an official link creates a separate interaction between the visitor and that external service. The external service's rules, privacy policy and decisions apply.

Accuracy and changes

Guides are based on official sources and show checked dates where appropriate. Council rules, forms, boundaries, links and disruption notices can change without notice.

You are responsible for checking the current council or GOV.UK service before relying on a deadline, eligibility rule, expected return or compensation summary. Website content may be corrected, updated, suspended or removed at any time.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website's original text, layout, code and editorial presentation belong to the website operator or are used with permission. Council names, logos and third-party marks belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.

Official facts are not claimed as exclusive property. This does not grant permission to reproduce full guides, screenshots, original wording, code or the compiled council dataset. Images remain subject to the licence and attribution stated beside each image.

External services and links

The website connects to Postcodes.io, is indexed via Google Search Console, tracks anonymous traffic metrics using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and links to councils, GOV.UK, Ombudsman services and other third parties. Future monetization may include third-party advertising such as Google AdSense. Missed Bin Collection UK does not control or guarantee those third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, actions, terms or privacy practices.

Availability and acceptable access

The website may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn without notice. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the website, connected services or other users, including in response to abusive automation, a security attack or unlawful use.

Liability

The website provides general information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator does not accept responsibility for loss caused by an outdated external link, a missed council deadline, reliance on a summary instead of the official service, or an expectation of a particular collection, complaint or compensation outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or removes mandatory consumer rights.

For an individual legal dispute, substantial financial claim, personal injury, discrimination or urgent public-health risk, obtain appropriate professional or official assistance.

Privacy

The privacy policy explains how contact messages, technical logs, postcode lookups, GA4 analytics and cookies are handled.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the website changes or legal requirements develop. The effective date above will change when a material revision is published. Continued use after the new terms take effect means the revised terms apply.

Governing law

To the extent that a choice of law is permitted, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. A person living elsewhere keeps any mandatory rights that cannot be changed by these terms. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute.

Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@missedbincollection.online.
